A fully built 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS has popped up for sale on eBay Motors wearing a crumpled front clip and a salvage title. The pro-touring coupe is listed by Rancho Cordova, California seller specializedgerman, and the VIN and Fisher body tag confirm it left the Kansas City plant as a genuine factory Malibu SS Sport Coupe before someone turned it into a serious restomod.
Underneath the hood sits a 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine backed by a 4L70E four-speed automatic, sending power to a GM 10-bolt rear axle fitted with 3.73 gears and a Yukon DuraGrip limited-slip. The chassis was reworked with drop spindles, tubular control arms, upgraded trailing arms, front and rear sway bars, and adjustable coilovers, while a CPP power steering box and four-wheel disc brakes with hydraulic power assist handle stopping duties. It rides on 18-inch chrome Billet Specialties wheels wrapped in Nitto rubber. Inside and out, the build gained air conditioning, power windows and locks, remote start, Dakota Digital gauges, and a Custom Autosound stereo, plus an aluminum radiator, electric fan and fuel pump, stainless steel fuel tank, billet pulley system, and ceramic-coated dual exhaust. The car wears Metallic Mist Blue paint over a two-tone blue interior with bucket seats and console.

That build quality is exactly why the damage stings. The listing states plainly that the car now has collision damage. The Chevelle struck a pole and slid along a barrier, crushing the right front fender and frame and leaving scraping and crumple damage running down the right side. The seller reports the opposite side, rear glass, and interior remain in nice condition, and that the frame was pulled slightly at the right front just far enough to snap some photos and get the engine running again. The impact broke the air conditioning compressor, but the seller says no engine block damage is visible. As a result, it is being offered as either a project to repair and return to the road, or as a high-spec donor car for someone doing an LS swap of their own.
The listing carries a salvage title and is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty of any kind. As of this writing the asking price is $33,299.26 or best offer, down from an original $36,999.18, with a deposit required and full payment due within seven days of the sale ending.
