Backfire News is an independent, enthusiast-run publication covering off-roading, motorsports, trucks, and the lifestyle that ties it all together. We started this because we love this world – the early mornings at the track, the smell of race fuel, the dented tailgates and the stories behind every build.

We’re not a giant media company. We’re a small crew of people who actually drive, wrench, race, and show up to the events we write about. Everything you read here comes from that place – real passion for the grit, speed, and community that make this scene what it is.

What we check before publishing

Race results, times and standings are checked against official timing or sanctioning-body results wherever they are available.

Tips, social media posts and reader submissions are confirmed with the people involved or with a second source before we report them as fact.
When something can’t be confirmed, we say so in the story rather than presenting it as established.

How we attribute

We name our sources and link to the original posts, documents and results we rely on.

Photos and videos are credited to the person or outlet we received them from.
Commentary and opinion are clearly identified as such.

Corrections
