At plenty of car shows, meets, and cruises, a stubborn tradition persists of drivers lighting up the tires or sliding sideways on the way out of the parking lot. The annual Buffalo Motorama is no exception, as footage from the 2025 gathering makes clear, capturing the kind of departure antics that have become almost expected at such events.
The trouble is that this behavior often draws exactly the wrong kind of attention, giving authorities and property owners reason to shut events down for good. What feels like harmless showing off can jeopardize the gatherings everyone enjoys, and it only takes a few reckless exits to put an entire event’s future at risk, which is why many in the community urge restraint.
