Acura said Monday that more than 3,000 reproduction parts for the 1991–2005 NSX are now on sale in the U.S., and the announcement does not list a single one of them.
The November 2 release from American Honda in Torrance, California, launches the Honda Heritage Parts program in the U.S. Parts are sold through Acura dealerships and the Honda DreamShop, which the release calls the exclusive channels. It says the range will expand but won’t say to what, or when. Executive vice president Mamadou Diallo said it was appropriate to begin with the first-generation NSX.

No prices. No parts catalog link. No explanation for why the U.S. waited about seven months after the program started in Japan. Its boilerplate describes the 2026 Acura lineup as the Integra, ADX, RDX and MDX, so the parts are being sold by a brand with no NSX in its current showroom.
What Honda said in Japan
Honda announced the program globally on December 12, 2025, under the name Honda Heritage Works, with a start date of April 1, 2026 and the first-generation NSX as the launch model. It has two halves: Heritage Parts, and a Restoration Service that Honda described as Japan-only.
Honda split the parts into two types. Heritage Compatible Parts are newly redeveloped replacements for originals Honda can no longer supply, made with new suppliers, materials and manufacturing methods. Heritage Reproduction Parts use the same materials and production methods as the originals. The U.S. release uses only the word “reproduction,” and does not say whether any of the 3,000 are the redeveloped kind.
The December announcement gave no parts count, so 3,000 first appears in the U.S. release. Honda said then that a parts list would be posted in Japanese at honda.co.jp/heritage-works and updated as items were added. The U.S. release links only to Acura’s newsroom. Neither document gives a price for any part.
The restoration service
Honda has restored first-generation NSXs in Japan since 1993 under its NSX Refresh Plan, whose application period ended in late August 2025. The work now happens at the Takanezawa facility in Tochigi Prefecture, where the car was developed, renamed Honda Heritage Works Takanezawa. Honda’s menu has two tiers: Basic Restoration (engine teardown and inspection, suspension parts, door and opening parts) and Total Restoration, which adds a full repaint from bare body and interior reupholstery. The U.S. release does not mention restoration, so American owners get a parts counter, not Takanezawa.

Before you order
Dealer-only sales mean the part number has to come from a dealer’s parts department. Ask whether a given part is Compatible or Reproduction, since Honda defines them differently, and compare the number against the list Honda said it would publish in Japan, because it is the only catalog either document points to.
Backfire News has followed a 1993 NSX headed to Mecum and Ayrton Senna’s NSX going to auction in London.
Honda’s December announcement said other classic sport models would follow the NSX. Neither it nor Monday’s release names one.

Should Acura keep NSX reproduction parts dealer-only, or let independent restoration shops order them directly?
