A 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle that has been separated from its original underpinnings and mounted on a lifted Chevrolet K-5 Blazer chassis is being offered for sale at $32,900, an unusual reinterpretation of one of the best-known American muscle cars of the era.
The car is listed by Super Sport Classics, which describes the build as a one-of-a-kind creation intended strictly for off-road use. The conversion gives the Chevelle four-wheel drive and a substantial lift, a combination that turns a car originally engineered for straight-line acceleration on pavement into something closer to a show truck.

Power comes from a rebuilt 350 V-8 backed by an automatic transmission. The engine has been fitted with headers, an aluminum intake manifold, an upgraded carburetor and an HEI distributor. Chrome valve covers and a matching chrome air cleaner dress the engine bay. Behind the drivetrain sits a 12-bolt rear end, a component long favored by builders for its durability under added stress.
Other equipment includes power steering, power disc brakes and a set of aftermarket gauges replacing the factory instrumentation.
