At the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, one build pulled off the rare feat of irritating two fanbases at once. Dubbed the Corruptt Mustang, it took a 1968 Mustang and fitted it with a 4.3-liter V8 sourced from Ferrari, topped off with Nelson Racing twin turbochargers, a combination guaranteed to ruffle feathers on both sides.
Blending a beloved American body with an Italian engine was always going to spark strong reactions, and that was clearly part of the point. Provocative builds like this thrive on challenging expectations, and whatever purists thought of it, the Corruptt Mustang succeeded in getting people talking, which is often the truest measure of a standout show car.
