We really do wonder sometimes if people have secretly donated their brain, maybe for scientific reasons or charity. Case in point: a man in Fishers, Indiana was captured on dashcam riding down the highway, standing on the seat of his motorcycle, going 104 mph while a cop was chasing him.
Man parks on his own lawn and gets arrested by police.
Fishers Police shared video of the incident and it’s wild. The guy doesn’t just stand on the seat for a brief moment, he does it for a good while. And he weaves around on the road just for good measure, like he’s performing a circus act.
Maybe the guy was looking for online clout and decided getting his stunt on a cop’s dashcam was the best way to do it. Considering how fame-starved some social media users have become, it’s certainly a possibility.
For all his effort, the officer was able to pull this daredevil suspect over and arrested him for reckless driving. Now we know some motorcycle enthusiasts will be upset he wasn’t arrested for reckless riding, but that’s what the violation is called in Indiana and probably everywhere else.
Police haven’t released the identity of this rider, so if his plan was to become internet famous, it isn’t happening, yet. And we think that’s more than okay. People shouldn’t profit off these kinds of stupid stunts, especially considering all the other lives he put at risk.
Some users on X expressed doubt about the police department claiming the guy was doing 104 mph during the stunt. One person in particular tried claiming that if he were going that fast, all the cars around him were doing something like 90 mph.
Since the dashcam video doesn’t show vehicle speed, we have no way to confirm or debunk Fishers Police’s claim.
Even if he were only going 65 mph while standing on his motorcycle’s saddle, swerving around like he was, it’s still a stupid stunt. That’s the part which has us wondering just how dumb this rider must be.
