Sitting in an Iowa wrecking yard is a 1963 Chrysler 300J that boasts some genuinely valuable features, lending it a measure of uniqueness. The classic Mopar has clearly endured plenty of hard use over the years, leaving it battered and worn. Despite the rough condition, its potential rarity raises an interesting question for collectors.
Even a possible one-of-one example can present a dilemma when the cost and effort of restoration are weighed against the likely reward. For some, the chance to save a rare piece of Chrysler history is reason enough to take on the challenge. Whether this 300J finds a savior or remains a parts donor will depend on someone seeing past its current state to the treasure beneath.
