As awful as it is whenever a Ferrari is crashed, when a big Hollywood actor crashes one in Tinsel Town, it’s a huge deal. All eyes were fixated on the Ferrari 812 owned by Michael B. Jordan back in December 2023 after it wrecked into a parked Kia, as shown dashcam footage which surfaced later.
This is why you shouldn’t text and drive.
While everyone was focused on what led to Jordan crashing his Ferrari, one YouTuber was already gearing up to buy the totaled supercar. However, he couldn’t scoop it up right away, but he was in luck when the person who did get it first decided to turn around and resell it after a short period of time.
We know what you’re thinking: cars which change hands rapidly are problem children. That’s usually true and this case we doubt is an exception. But that’s hardly a surprise since the Ferrari 812 had its front passenger-side wheel ripped off and fender destroyed.
Still, even with the deep discount off what such a machine would cost, was this a wise move? For the average person the answer might be absolutely not. But when you’re a YouTuber looking for entertaining content, the wilder, whackier, and more dramatic a project the better it is for the sweet viewership numbers.
What’s going to draw in an audience better than an exotic Italian supercar wrecked by a Hollywood actor?
But here’s the thing: not everyone was a fan of Jordan’s spec for his 812. We get that many think all Ferraris should be dressed in Rosso Corsa, period. The color looks amazing, it’s traditional for Maranello, and in the case of this particular model we think it looks better.
What’s worse is the odd pairing of gold wheels and red brake calipers. The blue and gold look okay, but the calipers should’ve been painted black to not stand out or a shade matching the body.
The YouTuber who bought this Ferrari has a long, arduous task of hiring people to restore this 812 ahead of him. We’re sure he’ll get much content, and with it many views, out of the process. So for him it was a wise business choice.
