Disputes over where people can keep their cars, boats, and hobby vehicles are common, whether the source is an HOA or local government. A man in Seaside, California found himself in exactly such a conflict after the city told him he couldn’t park his boat in his driveway.

In a creative act of protest, he responded by painting a mural of a boat on his fence, cleverly sidestepping the rule while making his point. The lighthearted workaround drew attention and amusement, turning a frustrating dispute into a memorable statement.
