In one of the most unusual moments of the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend, actor Terry Crews drove a full-size, fully functional Lego-built 1950s-style pink Cadillac to deliver the top three Formula 1 finishers to the podium.
The vehicle, constructed from more than 418,000 Lego bricks, was created as a tribute to the classic Cadillac once associated with Elvis Presley. The drivable replica was unveiled by Lego as part of its ongoing promotional partnership with Formula 1.
Crews, known for television and film roles including “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “White Chicks,” chauffeured race winner Max Verstappen along with Lando Norris and George Russell in the back seat following Sunday’s race.
Lego previously built full-scale drivable F1 cars for the Miami Grand Prix, but the company said it chose the Cadillac concept to align with the Las Vegas event’s emphasis on entertainment and spectacle.
The pink Cadillac appearance follows Lego’s announcement earlier in the week that it will join the F1 Academy in 2026. The company plans to sponsor its own entry in the all-female development series, with driver Esmee Kosterman set to compete under the Lego Racing banner.
The choice of a Cadillac model also coincides with the Cadillac F1 team’s scheduled arrival to the championship in 2026, when the automaker plans to field a team with drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez.
Lego said its partnership with Formula 1 will continue into the 2026 season, though details of future activations have not yet been announced.
