Stretched 1969 Corvette Limousine Can Take You to Prom

A highly unusual version of America’s most iconic sports car has surfaced for sale in Southern California, offering a blend of classic Corvette design and limousine-scale ambition. A stretched 1969 Corvette Stingray limousine is currently listed on Facebook Marketplace in Santa Ana, California, carrying an asking price of $98,000 and presenting a one-of-a-kind take on Chevrolet performance heritage.

The elongated Corvette departs dramatically from the traditional two-seat sports car formula. This custom build features four doors, four bucket seats, and four removable T-top roof panels, turning the familiar Stingray silhouette into something closer to a rolling spectacle than a track-focused machine. The stretch conversion appears professionally executed, with extended bodywork that maintains Corvette styling cues while accommodating a full rear seating area.

Inside, the black interior is fitted with power-adjustable leather seats sourced from a later C4 Corvette. The cabin layout includes modern conveniences uncommon to late-1960s Corvettes, such as a premium sound system, digital gauges, and dual cupholders between the front seats. Rear passengers are treated to fold-down color television screens integrated into the headliner, while the front compartment includes a fold-down display that may assist with maneuvering the vehicle’s considerable length.

Power comes from a Tuned Port fuel-injected engine paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission equipped with overdrive, suggesting an emphasis on drivability rather than period-correct originality. Additional equipment includes power steering, power brakes, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, electric pop-up headlights, shaved door handles with hidden actuators, and air suspension on all four corners. The car rides on 17-inch American Racing wheels, further blending classic and contemporary elements.

One of the most visually striking features is the extended side-exit exhaust system, which runs nearly the full length of the vehicle. While visually dramatic, its placement suggests careful attention would be needed when entering or exiting the car.

The seller describes the vehicle as designed to accommodate family and friends while still delivering Corvette presence. While far from subtle, the stretched Stingray offers something increasingly rare in the collector car market: a guaranteed conversation starter. Whether destined for special events, displays, or novelty cruising, this Corvette limousine represents an extreme interpretation of American automotive creativity that refuses to blend into the background.

Shawn Henry has spent years writing about cars, and it shows—not in a resume kind of way, but in how he talks about them. He's the type who'll notice the weird trim option nobody remembers and actually know why it mattered. At Backfire News, he covers pretty much the whole spectrum: off-road trucks and trail builds, performance cars, racing, and the collector market. He's comfortable getting into the technical weeds, but he never forgets that most people read about cars because cars are fun, not because they want a spec sheet. His beat runs from classic and collector vehicles to overlanding culture, modified performance builds, new automotive tech, and the industry news that actually affects what ends up in your driveway. Mostly, though, Shawn thinks the best car stories are about people—the builds they pour money into, the road trips, the communities that form around a shared obsession. That's the stuff he likes writing about, and it's what you'll find in his work here.
