A 1991 Lotus Elan SE with a claim to fame from a major Hollywood film recently sold at online auction for a price that caught many off guard with how low it landed. If the little yellow car’s screen credit isn’t ringing any bells, plenty of others struggled to place it as well.
Movie provenance can sometimes boost a car’s value, but only when the connection resonates with buyers. In this case, the relatively obscure tie-in apparently did little to drive up the bidding, leaving someone with an interesting conversation piece at a bargain price.
