Matthew Perry’s Car Collection Was Impressive

Estimated read time 3 min read

While people morn the sudden, untimely death of beloved actor Matthew Perry, we want to honor the memory of the man. Even some of his biggest fans don’t realize what a gearhead he was. Perry owned quite the collection of cars, and while many are quite valuable, they’re not only expensive but also show a discernment your average person with a ton of money might not necessarily exercise.

Britney Spears keeps getting in trouble while behind the wheel.

2001 BMW Z8

This was an excellent acquisition by Perry and is an excellent example of his automotive taste. Your average person doesn’t even know the Z8 exists, yet the actor had the discernment to snatch up one of just 500 Roadster V8 version of the car ever made. Even if you’re not a BMW fan, this is one impressive ride.

2014 Aston Martin Vantage

For the uninitiated, Aston Martins seem like overpriced luxury barges. But for those who can afford them, because they’re definitely not in the range your average person can swing, they’re refined performance vehicles. It’s no coincidence Perry bought a Roadster version of the British car.

2017 Audi R8 Spyder

Yes, Perry owned the same car as Tony Stark, well sort of. It’s obvious the actor had plenty of money and enjoyed spending it on expensive European cars. And it’s obvious the man liked not only fast, powerful rides but ones with a drop top. We greatly approve of the R8’s naturally aspirated V10 engine, providing not only plenty of get up and go but also a wonderful symphony.

2015 BMW 6 Series

Obviously, Perry loved BMWs and performance-oriented cars in general, so it’s not shocking to see he had a 6 Series in his garage. While not nearly as powerful or as quick as some of his other rides, these cars still aren’t pushovers. His was also a convertible. Do you see a pattern emerging?

2014 Porsche Panamera

Sometimes you need to transport four people in the lap of luxury without sacrificing style or performance. For Perry that meant getting a Panamera. Some aren’t fans of how these sedans look, but there’s no denying they pack a mean, albeit refined, punch.

2003 BMW 7 Series

By now you should have it firmly in mind that Perry was a real BMW fan, so learning he also had a 7 Series in his stable shouldn’t be shocking in the least. Technologically advanced for its time, packing a stout powertrain, and yet still brimming with plush luxuries in the cabin, these cars can be a dream ride for many. Plus, word is Perry’s was an extended wheelbase, so he probably relaxed in the backseat with plenty of legroom.

2023 Porsche Taycan 4S

Just back in May of this year Perry was spotted driving around Los Angeles in a Porsche Taycan 4S. Aside from pictured taking a puff on his cigarette, this was a big deal because not too many own the all-electric Porsche four-door. In case it hasn’t become clear, the actor was a big fan of Porsche and Bimmers.

2020 Lincoln Navigator

Sometimes you need more metal and a roof around you, especially when you’re a famous actor who needs to get from point A to point B. Instead of just opting for a Dodge Grand Caravan, Perry went with something stylish and quite comfortable. Plus, such an SUV would allow him to be driven so he himself wouldn’t have to fight the famously bad Los Angeles-area traffic.
