High-speed PIT maneuvers well above 100 mph tend to end badly, but an Arkansas case involving a fleeing Dodge Avenger stands out for a different reason. The trooper executed perhaps the quickest PIT we’ve seen.
The maneuver was carried out so rapidly that it brought the pursuit to an abrupt close. It served as a striking demonstration of the skill and timing involved in safely ending a high-speed chase.
