On March 30, a C8 Corvette which reportedly belongs to Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and a Lamborghini Urus crashed into several other cars while apparently racing each other on a Dallas freeway. At first there was confusion about whether or not the wreck was connected to the NFL player, but that’s been confirmed by TMZ.

Somehow, nobody was seriously injured in the multi-car crash.
In a twist, the Lambo crossover was reportedly rented by Rice through high-end service Classic Lifestyle. The lease agreement apparently stated only Rice was allowed to drive the Urus, so it’s possible he was behind the wheel when it crashed.
Allegedly, one of his friends was driving the C8 Corvette. We’re guessing the professional athlete wanted to see if his sports car was faster than the exotic crossover and things got out of hand. Rice apparently told the company he will pay for the Lamborghini, which was totaled.
While street racing is a bad idea, Rice and his friends all left the scene of the accident. That’s why there was initially confusion about if the Corvette belonged to him, was stolen, and other details.
Nobody was seriously injured in the crash, but as you probably already know, taking off after a wreck is a citable offense. But an attorney representing Rice says he’s cooperating with police and will make things right.
That might require not only financial restitution but also some legal consequences. We’re sure his attorney is trying to hammer out some sort of amicable agreement with prosecutors.
In the meantime, Rice’s troubles might extend far beyond just the damaged cars and possible charges from authorities. TMZ says both the NFL and Kansas City Chiefs are investigating the incident, so he might face additional consequences.
