Florida has a reputation for the unusual, and an alligator turning up on an interstate certainly fits the bill. Fortunately, a skilled handler stepped in to deal with the situation after authorities from three separate agencies were left puzzling over how to manage the large reptile safely.
Removing a sizable gator from a busy highway is no small task, requiring both nerve and expertise. The successful intervention prevented a potentially dangerous situation, clearing the road and relocating the animal without harm to the public or, it seems, the alligator itself.
