YouTube personality WhistlinDiesel, whose real name is Cody Detwiler, said he has been arrested for a second time as part of an ongoing tax evasion case tied to high-value vehicle purchases in Tennessee.

Detwiler disclosed the latest arrest Sunday in a social media post that included images of his arrest and booking information. He said the arrest occurred Jan. 22 at a Tennessee airport shortly after he returned to the United States from international travel. According to Detwiler, he was released after posting bond in less than an hour, spending approximately 50 minutes in custody.
Following the post, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Detwiler had been indicted on charges of tax evasion and filing a false sales tax return. Authorities said he was later released on a $25,000 bond.
The case stems from Detwiler’s 2023 purchase of a Ferrari F8 Tributo, a vehicle that later caught fire and was destroyed. That transaction was at the center of his initial arrest, which also involved allegations of unpaid taxes related to the purchase. Prosecutors now appear to be pursuing additional charges connected to a second vehicle.
Detwiler said the second arrest was triggered by a separate warrant tied to another car listed in the tax evasion indictment. According to his account, that vehicle was purchased in a different county, leading authorities to file an additional warrant rather than allowing him to voluntarily address the matter. He also claimed he was not given prior notice or an opportunity to resolve any outstanding tax obligations before being taken into custody.
Details surrounding the second vehicle have not been publicly disclosed, and Detwiler has not identified the make or model involved. He has also stated that he never received formal notice indicating that taxes were owed before either arrest occurred.
The case remains active, and additional information is expected as court proceedings continue. Detwiler has indicated that he intends to provide further updates as more details become available.
