Travis Pastrana and his crew set out to jump the C8 Corvette Z06 he won from Cleetus McFarland a full 110 feet, and they followed through on the plan. Some doubted the racer would actually go ahead with it, but he proved to be a man of his word by seeing the stunt all the way through.
Pulling off a leap of that distance in a high-performance sports car is no small undertaking, and the fact that it came off without disaster was a relief. Pastrana’s willingness to put an expensive machine on the line is exactly the kind of spectacle that has built his reputation for fearless stunts.
