Vehicles end up submerged in lakes and rivers for a variety of reasons, and concealing evidence after a crime is among them. That appears to have been the case with a stolen 1977 Dodge Ramcharger found in the Seneca River in Upstate New York.
The discovery of the recovered SUV added another chapter to the curious phenomenon of cars being dumped in waterways. Any related legal matters would be left to the appropriate authorities to investigate and resolve.
