Robert James Ritchie, the musician known to fans as Kid Rock, made a memorable entrance at his inaugural Rock N Rodeo event in Dallas over the weekend. Rather than walking out conventionally, he rode in atop a Tesla Cybertruck that had been dressed up to evoke the orange General Lee from a classic television series, complete with the familiar styling cues that immediately read to longtime fans.
The mash-up of a futuristic electric pickup with a nostalgic muscle-car icon drew plenty of attention and commentary. It is the sort of spectacle that has become a signature of the performer, who tends to lean into bold visual gags whenever he steps in front of a crowd, and the rodeo debut gave him a fresh canvas for one.
