Two men in a Jeep Wrangler found themselves in serious danger after testing the off-roader’s wading abilities in a river. As the situation deteriorated, the pair were forced to climb onto the vehicle’s roof and wait for help, eventually being lifted to safety by a rescue helicopter.
The incident is a stark reminder that even capable off-road vehicles have limits when it comes to water crossings. Misjudging a river’s depth or current can turn an adventurous outing into a life-threatening ordeal, and in this case the men were fortunate that rescuers reached them in time.
