Arkansas State Police have built a reputation for ending high-speed flights decisively, often using a precision maneuver to bring fleeing vehicles to a halt. The latest example involved a rider on a sportbike who attempted to outrun troopers. The pursuit concluded much the way these encounters typically do.
Running from law enforcement rarely succeeds and almost always heightens the danger for everyone on the road. The episode serves as another reminder that compliance is the far safer choice than attempting to flee. For motorcyclists especially, the risks of a high-speed escape attempt are simply not worth taking.
