Originally delivered in Oregon, the car remained with its second owner’s family until 2005, when it was purchased by the current seller and later restored between 2016 and 2019. The GT500 is presented in Wimbledon White with twin black hood stripes and Shelby side graphics, paired with a black interior accented by woodgrain trim.

Under the hood, the fastback houses a 428-cubic-inch Cobra Jet V8 rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque when new. Equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and ram-air intake, the engine was rebuilt during the restoration, along with the three-speed C6 automatic transmission and rear axle. The car’s valve cover gaskets, ignition components, and fluids were refreshed ahead of its current offering.

Exterior details include Shelby-specific fiberglass panels, a vented hood with NACA inlets, a chin spoiler, fog lights, quarter panel vents, a trunk lid spoiler, and dual center-exit exhaust outlets. Fifteen-inch Shelby wheels with Michelin tires and overhauled suspension and brake systems complete the period-correct performance package. Rack-and-pinion steering has also been added for modern drivability.

Inside, the car features black bucket seats, a fold-down Sport Deck rear seat, and added amenities such as air conditioning, an aftermarket stereo, and a retro-look radio. The odometer shows 65,400 miles, with documentation including a Deluxe Marti Report confirming the May 1969 build date and original specifications.

The Shelby GT500 fastback is currently offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with service records, factory literature, tools, and a clean title. At the time of reporting, bidding stood at $65,000.
