Usually when a front-engine car has sustained serious front-end damage in a crash, like what happened to this Roush Mustang, the powertrain is at least not in good shape. But for some reason, a car YouTuber decided to buy this wrecked muscle car off an insurance auction site, then put the thing on a dyno to see how much power it’s making.
Dogs tear apart a car for a surprising reason.
Of course, the guy is doing this completely insane thing for entertainment purposes only. In other words, if he didn’t have a popular YouTube channel (he’s sitting at 480,000 subscribers right now) he probably wouldn’t even bother.
Although there are guys who do these sorts of things out of sheer boredom. But thanks to the internet, if you have a platform you can monetize your activities done out of boredom. What a time to be alive.
First off, the YouTuber bought the car not knowing if it was a Roush Stage 3 Supercharged Mustang or not. You see, the photos on these insurance auction websites can show little of the car.
Thankfully it was or he would’ve paid way too much for the thing. And despite the front-end damage, the powertrain was still in okay condition. But the big question is how much power is it currently making?
After all, a lot of the value of the junked pony car is tied up in the powertrain and putting the thing on a dyno is a good way to gauge its condition. But it’s also entertaining, most importantly.
The ultimate fate of the Roush Mustang was to be parted out. It obviously can’t be driven anymore, thanks not only to the destroyed end but also the damage to the frame. Only some components are in good enough shape to be salvaged. But little things can add up quickly, as you know from bills.
