This Is The Darkest Porsche In The World

When it comes to paint, any enthusiast knows all aren’t created equal. Most of us have some favorite hues, be they factory options for specific models or something in the aftermarket. And while different ones bring different qualities, only one claims to be the blackest paint in the world. We’re talking about Musou Black and a shop in Japan decided to paint a Porsche 911 Turbo using the stuff.

Watch a Michigan trooper light up a fleeing Dodge Durango.

If you aren’t familiar with it, Musou Black is a water-based acrylic paint which absorbs 99.4% of light in the visible band. That’s a lot. Regular black acrylic paint absorbs somewhere between 94 and 98% of light. So this paint just drinks in the light, making whatever you apply it to almost look like a black hole.

Considering how curvaceous modern 911s are, painting one with such a flat black would take away your eyes’ perception of the curvature. Just how would that impact a person’s overall opinion of the car? Plus, as it drives and is pulling in all that light, will it even stand out on the road?

And most importantly, would the paint cause any parts of the vehicle to malfunction because they overheat? We have so many questions and we doubt we’ll get answers to all of them.

But PIT ONE, which as a YouTube channel, decided to paint its own Porsche 911 Turbo using Musou Black and its’ an interesting process to watch, with some unorthodox methods, let alone to behold the results.

And those results are head-turning, literally. After unmasking the unpainted parts of the Porsche, they take the car out for a spin in public. People definitely noticed how matte black it was, some openly staring, others taking photos. We can hardly blame them since it is the darkest Porsche in the world.
