British rock singer Rod Stewart just announced he’s going to offload some of his impressive cars, which is causing a stir. After all, whatever you think of the man’s musical talents, his collection of vehicles is quite impressive. And the fact they’ve been owned by a celebrity should only increase their value on the open market now and in the future.
Driving for Uber using a McLaren is an excellent bad idea.
Stewart took to Instagram to make this shocking announcement, posing with the five “hybrid sports cars” he plans to sell. He also goes on about how “fortunate” and “grateful” he is to have been driving “these iconic Italian cars since the seventies.”
Of course, he hasn’t been driving those specific vehicles for over 40 years but is probably referring to Ferraris and Lamborghinis in general. Also, the only one that could have a hybrid powertrain is the SF90. So the man is a great singer but probably has someone else taking care of his cars for him, and that’s a good thing.
He still very much has enjoyed driving his Italians and calls them “works of art” with which we can agree. But he says the reason he needs to sell them is potholes.
That’s right, Rod Stewart is selling three Ferraris and two Lamborghinis because there are potholes in the roads in the UK. We’re pretty sure there have always been potholes, but maybe the problem has worsened in recent years? If you live in his neck of the woods, let us know if that’s the case.
Everyone is going to speculate about why Stewart is offloading these rides, whether it has to really do with potholes or something else. But the man says he doesn’t read the comments section (a wise choice) so he won’t see all the quippy remarks people make.
Which one of Rod Stewart’s exotic Italian supercars would you pick up, if you were to have the cash to afford one?
