Professional wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is counting his blessings after surviving a horrific car crash. Known for being able to take plenty of punishment in the ring, it’s shocking to learn the man has been hospitalized with injuries following the accident.
Retired Formula One driver Jochen Mass suffers a medical emergency.
Taking to Instagram, Foley announced to fans he was in the crash, putting up a photo of him standing next to the wrecked car. We can see the windshield had a huge hole in it, the roof is partly caved in, the hood is gone along with the front bumper cover, and there’s structural damage, so the collision was indeed violent.
Foley said, “I have no idea how I am still walking around after this accident.” But he revealed that he has a “minor concussion” and everything hurts from his knees to his neck.
In a video message, Foley thanked his fans for their wishes that he feels better after the crash. He then revealed that all of his injuries are “soft tissue damage” only, which he called “really fortunate.”
Because the accident happened on April 1, a lot of people initially thought Foley was pulling some sort of April Fools joke. Considering the things companies, celebrities, and others have posted on April 1 in the past, that unfortunately is understandable. But Foley clarified there was nothing funny about the crash, which was very real.
Because his injuries aren’t serious, Foley said he’s not missing any planned appearances, including showing up at an event in Texas this weekend. That’s great to hear and we’re sure his fans will appreciate that he’s okay, let alone that they get to see him in person.
