There are so many crazy stories of road rage or people raging out and throwing things at drivers that this one of a guy wielding a pitchfork of all things in Seattle almost didn’t faze us. We say almost because it’s still bizarre enough to make us stop and think for a moment despite our being jaded by just waves of insane crime stories all too similar to this.
Explosive Ram truck chase ends shockingly.
The guy went to an Interstate 5 overpass and threw multiple objects at cars driving below. Those allegedly included a propane tank, knife, used needles, plus clothing soaked in urine. We have so many questions.
Of course, people called 911 and Washington State Patrol troopers responded to the scene. However, the suspect just kept hucking stuff onto the interstate below. Luckily, he didn’t cause any serious accidents.
While he kept putting drivers’ lives in danger, troopers tased the suspect three times. We’re not sure why that didn’t bring him down, but he kept fighting. At one point he threat a metal pole at the troopers, hitting one on the finger.
He threw other stuff, not the kitchen sink but another knife and a fish tank, of all things. But the most bizarre part was how he armed himself with a pitchfork. Mind you, this was in the heart of Seattle, not in some rural area, so why did the man have a pitchfork? It’s probably the same reason why tasing him didn’t work.
Crazy people with pitchforks who throw stuff off overpasses is just another reason why drivers have to stay distraction-free and ready for anything at all times. We’ve seen too many cases of people throwing debris on highways lately, be it rocks or steel poles or urine-soaked clothing. You always have to be ready for the unexpected.
