When it comes to Formula One racing, you can’t argue against the unrivaled success of Lewis Hamilton. As the most successful driver in the history of the motorsport, the man snagged seven World Championship titles during his illustrious career. Now all seven of the cars he piloted to victory are on display together for the first time.
Meanwhile, Bernie Ecclestone is selling off his Formula One racecar collection.
The only catch is you’ll have to take a trip to Germany to see them. The racecars are on display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum through January 6, 2025. If you happen to be in Stuttgart in the next few weeks we think it would be well worth the effort to swing by the museum, even if you only see Hamilton’s cars.
Those racecars will be on display on the main floor not too far from the entrance in the area called the Great Hall. In other words, if you’ve been to the museum recently, you could just go to that display with relative ease to check out Hamilton’s rides, then leave.
Of course, all of those F1 cars piloted by Hamilton are Mercedes, which is why the automaker is proudly displaying them together. That’s part of the point of motorsports in general, but especially F1. Manufacturers get to show off their technological prowess to the world. And as the old saying goes, you win on Sunday to sell cars on Monday.
Hamilton is now racing for Scuderia Ferrari and everyone thinks that means the Italians will start racking up the victories. That could be as the man who’s already set the world record just adds to it, providing an even bigger challenge for those who come into the sport later.
For his send-off from Mercedes, Hamilton was the first to check out the display with his cars during a farewell gathering.
