When you’re a famous actor like Hugh Jackman, sometimes you have to take desperate measures to get away from adoring fans. He recently found himself cornered by a crowd who wanted selfies and more, so the celebrity hailed a ride from a random stranger, jumping in his car to get away.
Brad Pitt finally gets to drive a real F1 racecar.
The scene unfolded in New York City just outside Radio City Music Hall where Jackman reportedly had just wrapped up a rehearsal for From New York, With Love. As the actor exited onto the street, he was greeted by a throng of adoring fans wo wanted nothing more than to get near him and take selfies as well as get his autograph.
While Jackman obliged their requests at first, the man has a busy schedule and likely was tired after giving the rehearsal his all. To his credit, the man didn’t lose his cool, even as he was obviously trying to walk away and people kept cornering him.
Footage taken by Page Six shows Jackman finally reach the edge of the sidewalk and immediately start hailing a car. At first you might think he’s signaling a taxi to pull over, but it turns out he’s really calling out to some random guy and his passenger in a crossover.
We would think a big star like Jackman would’ve had a car waiting for him when he gets out of any event like this. After all, the guy’s been a household name for over a couple of decades, so he knows how fans and the paparazzi can be.
Maybe he was supposed to have a car waiting and something happened to it. Some believe the crossover might have been it, but from the looks of things, that was a spur of the moment decision. Either way, the driver of the crossover and his passenger looked excited to be transporting a real celebrity.
