A lot of people wonder about who polices the police without questioning who hauls away the crashed tow truck. Usually we don’t see these rigs crash, but this one wrecked out in Los Angeles after the driver was reportedly under the influence, causing mass mayhem in the middle of the night.

A tow truck driver getting charged with DUI might be rare indeed since they’re usually the ones hauling away DUI suspects’ vehicles, so to see this is quite interesting. The tow truck in question crashed gloriously on a street lined with many parked cars, several of them being seriously damaged as a result.
One has to ask if this crash wasn’t a way for the tow truck driver to drum up extra business for his buddies? After all, multiple tow trucks had to be brought in to clean up the mess. It total, about ten parked cars were damaged, along with two which were being driven when the suspect slammed into them.
This crash happened back on November 17 after 2 am. From what a police spokesman said, it sounds like the tow truck hit a car at a crossroad, hit another vehicle, then continued down the road and crashed into several parked cars. Only two drivers were injured, one of them being the tow truck driver.
OnScene TV was able to get surveillance footage from a resident of the stretch of road where the tow truck crashed, showing how it plowed into several other vehicles before coming to rest on its side. Residents flooded the street to see the aftermath, many of the awakened by the commotion.
