Chevy is tapping into seasonal nostalgia once again with its newest entry in the “Holiday Card to America” campaign—an emotional short film titled Memory Lane. Now in its fifth year, the automaker’s holiday series continues its tradition of spotlighting real, relatable moments built around Chevy’s most iconic vehicles. This time, the centerpiece is a well-worn 1987 Chevy Suburban, and the story follows a couple driving to their family cabin as memories from decades of road trips come rushing back.
Created in partnership with Anomaly and Park Pictures, the short film captures the couple’s annual drive to the cottage, but what begins as a quiet ride soon fills with flashbacks. The empty seats behind them transform with scenes from the past: kids growing up, milestone family moments, and even the loyal family dog who once claimed the back row. Chevy leans heavily into the emotional weight of tradition—the Suburban becomes a vessel for memories, underscoring how many families measure time by the cars that carried them through life.
This year’s campaign goes beyond the screen. Chevy is pairing the film with in-person holiday events across five major U.S. cities, bringing the “Memory Lane” theme to life with interactive experiences centered on family, storytelling, and classic Chevy heritage.
With a gentle soundtrack, warm cinematography, and a focus on the small moments that define family life, Chevy’s latest holiday message arrives right on cue for the season. As the couple’s Suburban rumbles toward the cabin, the film reminds viewers why certain vehicles become part of the family—and why the memories built inside them last long after the drive is over.
