Many people wonder what Formula One drivers use as their personal ride. While the answers vary, in the case of Charles LecLerc, at least part of the time it’s a one-of-one Ferrari Daytona SP3. He’s been spotted arriving and leaving at least a few times in the Italian supercar, so it’s not just sitting in his garage.

In a promotional spot recorded for Ferrari, LecLerc claims the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is “one of my favorite models.” While some cynical people might say the man was required to voice those words, considering how amazing it is and the fact the F1 driver likely was able to chose whatever he wanted, the words we believe to be genuine.
LecLerc calls the Daytona SP3 “the most beautiful car at the moment” in his eyes and it’s easy to see why. Working with Ferrari, he got the exact spec he wanted.

Instead of going for the usual red, he opted for a matte black exterior with dual red and white stripes and big Scuderia Ferrari shields on the forward portion of the doors (technically part of the fender).
According to LecLerc, black is his favorite color, and he went matte to match one of his helmets. As for the stripes, those are the Monaco flag, so he’s making a patriotic statement some might entirely miss.
Speaking of missing things, at first glance you might not see the thin red line at the edge of the carbon fiber rocker trim as well as the front splitter and rear diffuser. Those match the red brake calipers nicely, which peek out from behind matte black wheels, giving the exterior a strong, unifying theme.
You’ll also note on the doors, right next to the B-pillars, is the number 16 in white. Your eye might slide right over it at first, but the driver’s number is present for an obvious reason.
Instead of just choosing a black interior, LecLerc once again subverted expectations, choosing red instead. You’ll note the seats have the harnesses, something the Ferrari driver said is for just in case he wants to drive this beast on the track in the future.
He had the Monaco flag put in the middle of the seats and on the paddle shifters. In the bezel between the seatbacks is a plate with the driver’s number and signature, clarifying who ordered this supercar from Maranello.
