Hilarious doorbell camera footage shows the moment a woman’s dog drives her Jeep into a parked car. Just imagine her filing that insurance claim and the follow-up questions the insurance company had for her.
Get a robot dog that won’t crash your car.
If it weren’t for the doorbell camera, the insurance company and everyone else probably never would have believed her. But it’s all there on video, as unbelievable as it is.
The woman was outside the Jeep Grand Cherokee and her dog was in the driver’s seat, we assume with the engine running, when Fido hit the gear shifter, knocking it from park to drive.
When the video begins, you can hear the woman yell in her British accent “no” repeatedly as if someone were stabbing her. She was horrified at the thought of her SUV crashing into her neighbor’s car.
We don’t know if that’s because she loves her Jeep so much, she’s afraid of her neighbor, or she knows what it’s like to file an insurance claim. Whatever it is, she’s genuinely horrified. But cry as she does, the Jeep’s brakes don’t activate.
Thankfully, the vehicle was just crawling forward, so it probably did just light cosmetic damage to it and the car it hit. Once the impact was over and the woman could see everything was relatively okay, she finally asked her dog if he was okay.
Then she explained to the neighbor, who was probably wondering why her big Grand Cherokee was sitting against his vehicle that the dog drove into it. We wonder if he bought the story before seeing the footage.
While a lot of people complain about those knob-style shifters which look too much like stereo volume controls, one of those would’ve prevented this incident in the first place. We’re not saying those are great, just that they might have their usefulness after all.
