A 1983 Chevrolet Camaro campaigned by Don Yenko in the IMSA Kelly America Challenge is scheduled to cross the auction block at Mecum Glendale on March 20, 2026. The race-prepared Camaro, driven by Yenko during the 1983 season, will be offered alongside several other high-profile collector cars at the Arizona event.
Although it resembles a third-generation Camaro introduced in 1982, the IMSA-spec car shares little with its production counterpart. Built by Dillon Enterprises of Indiana, the vehicle features a purpose-built tube chassis and a custom 310-cubic-inch V8 engine. In accordance with 1983 IMSA regulations, it was equipped with a dry sump oiling system and a quick-change rear end with 3.55 gears. During the 1983 season, the car finished second at Pocono and third at Lime Rock. Yenko shared driving duties with Jerry and Chris Thompson.

The Camaro was placed into storage in 1987 and remained out of public view until 2005. It retains its 1983 race livery, wearing black and orange striping over a white body, along with number 11 roundels and period sponsor decals. The engine has since been rebuilt and race-prepared by Joe Wambolt. According to the current owner, compression and leak-down tests have been performed, indicating the car is mechanically prepared for competition. The Hoosier slick tires currently mounted on the vehicle were installed in 2015.
The car last sold at auction in 2017 at Mecum Monterey for $28,000. It was later listed on Bring a Trailer in December 2025 but did not meet reserve, with a highest bid of $23,011.

IMSA-spec Camaros seldom appear for public sale. The Glendale auction will also feature notable vehicles including a 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra, a 1966 427 Cobra, and one of 521 Shelby GT350s produced in 1965. Multiple first-generation Camaros are also scheduled to cross the block.
The Yenko-driven Camaro remains consigned for sale at Mecum Glendale, with bidding set for March 20.
