Even if you’re not a huge Nicolas Cage fan you have to admit this 1970 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda owned by him is one fine machine. It looks nice and sinister in black over black with the 426 Hemi peeking out of the hood. What’s more, this classic muscle car that’s crossing the auction block soon is on the Chrysler Registry as #128 of only 284 ’70 ‘Cudas built with a four-speed manual.
Check out Sammy Hagar’s LaFerrari that’s also being auctioned off.
Not only is this classic Mopar muscle car running the Hemi 426, it comes with the Super Track Pak Dana axle with 4.10 gears for plenty of giddy-up-and-go. What’s more, the lot listing indicates this is a numbers-matching car, so pair that with the rarity and the fact it was owned by a celebrity and this could be quite the ride to park in your garage.
That beautiful body is also apparently the original factory sheet metal, adding to the desirability of this ‘Cuda. In the photos, everything looks nice and straight, with even panel gaps and beautiful paint for a presentation which should truly wow everyone. Plus, the Rallye wheels add to the visual appeal.
The same can be said for the impeccable engine compartment and interior, with things looking original or period correct. Speaking of the interior, you’ll note the Rallye instrument cluster and rim-blow steering wheel.
As you can tell, this Plymouth has a lot going for it, so we imagine plenty of people will be paying attention as it crossed the block. However, one never knows how these auctions will go and with no reserve needing to be met, someone might drive into the sunset with an incredible deal.
The seller says in the lot listing that the car “comes with three large binders of extensive documentation” which is a huge plus for whomever ends up getting it. Check out the lot listing yourself here.
