Usually when we see a car that’s been chopped, it’s a ’50 Mercury or Ford Deuce, not a 1976 Dodge D-150 van. That’s why when we first saw the photo for this ride, which is currently listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace, we were astounded. Even after all the crazy builds we’ve witnessed in person and online, this one made us speechless for a moment.
Check out a rare Mazda JDM sports car.
We’re still not entirely sure how to feel about this thing. It’s definitely unique and an attention grabber. But we have to seriously wonder how anyone can really drive it. After all, the previously spacious windshield and side windows are reduced to almost slits.

Granted, the headroom in these old Dodge vans is plentiful, so chopping it down didn’t compromise much in that department. It looks like the stock seats are positioned just as they were from the factory.
The guy who’s been working on this creation has installed an interesting cage behind the seats. We’re not entirely sure of its purpose, but we’re super curious about it.
So you know, the seller admits this Dodge van is rough and an unfinished project. That’s what you would be signing up for if you bought it. The thing has been sitting for over a year and apparently struggles to start. But it of course ran and drove fine before it was parked.

While the roof is fully welded on at places, there are joints which have jus been stitch welded. Rust has taken hold in spots, but we’re not sure if it’s just surface corrosion which can easily be removed.
On top of all that, the listing says “Owes $900in late fees (sic)” whatever that means. Would you take this project on for $7,000 or would you pass and look for something else?
