We have a bit of a confession: the Lotus Exige is a bucket list car of ours. With not too many imported into the US, they’re a bit of a rarity. That’s why when we saw this 2007 Lotus Exige S listed for sale, we had to check it out. Now we want to see this little track toy go to a loving home if we can’t have it.
Rapper T-Pain supposedly bought a Bugatti just to show his friend up.
With an asking price of $59,000 we know not everyone who wants this British wonder can have it, us included. While that’s a good chunk of change, for it you get something that not only is simplified and lightweight, exuding the core principles of Lotus which unfortunately seem to have been tossed aside lately, this ride comes with something else compelling.

That’s right, boys and girls, it has a manual transmission, just like God intended. Oh how we wish we had $59,000 laying around for this at the moment!
This red beauty looks great and has a mere 14,000 miles and change on it. One might be wondering why the current owner is selling it and he answers that in the listing.

Apparently, this Exige S with its supercharged Toyota four-banger runs just fine, so if all is as it’s represented you could be flogging it around the track almost immediately after finishing the purchase process. But why would the guy want to unload this dream car if it isn’t a bundle of mechanical nighmares?
According to the seller, the issue is he has “too many track cars.” What a problem to be burdened with. He says he’s driven this Lotus a grand total of one time in the past two years of ownership. No wonder he’s come to grips with the fact it needs to go to a new, loving home.

Do you want to put this Lotus in your garage? Do you have the cash for it? Maybe what this beautiful Exige S needs is you. We really want to see this special car go to someone who really appreciates it.
