A scary scene unfolded in Harris County, Texas recently when a Jeep Wrangler crashed and rolled as two toddlers flew out of the back, landing on the freeway. Somehow the two children survived the ordeal, serving as a stark reminder that securing young ones properly in a car is always necessary.
A YouTuber has been banned for performing a dangerous stunt on a livestream.
We know a lot of Wrangler owners just love warmer weather so they can remove their rig’s top and doors. While that’s a lot of fun, the freedom doesn’t mean the kiddos in the back don’t need to be strapped into car seats.
Honestly, we don’t know what the father who comes running up to these toddlers after the crash did or didn’t do. Were the children in seats? Were they strapped in properly? Did they unstrap themselves? We can’t say.
What we do know is it’s amazing the kids, who are one and four, weren’t killed or seriously injured. They were hospitalized but we don’t know the extent of any injuries they suffered. Hopefully both have made a full recovery.
As for the father, he could face criminal charges. Securing your kids properly before driving off isn’t just good parenting, it’s the law. Having said that, we know some kids will unstrap themselves, a scary habit parents have to find a way to check since the potential consequences are high.
When you’re rolling around with nothing other than rollbars and safety straps keeping you inside your Jeep, it’s even more imperative you check on your children and ensure they’re properly protected.
Everyone has an opinion on this story as it spreads like wildfire and we can see why. After all, most parents take the safety and security of their children seriously, so seeing something like this can be incredibly triggering.
