Built to the tune of $800,000, this 1967 Ford F100 build found inspiration in Steve McQueen and his iconic Bullitt Mustang. While at first you might struggle to find the connection, and that might be in part because of the sheer expense of this custom pickup, once you dig into this truck you can start to see that design influence throughout.
Watch two abandoned classic Mustangs get the love they deserve.
First off, the most obvious inspiration is the dark green paint. Different sheet meal cues pay homage to the famous movie car, including the ducts ahead of the rear fenders. This truck looks cool and a little mean.

Purists will be happy to know there isn’t an LS sitting under the hood. Instead, powering this F100 is a modern Coyote V8 with twin turbos bolted up. That’s plenty of power to get this thing moving, but it’s also a very drivable ride for just cruising around town.
You can’t miss that this truck can sit completely slammed to the ground, thanks to the air suspension. We know that will turn some off completely, but from a performance standpoint it is a boon for handling and more.
As for the interior, it’s shockingly modern, having been donated by a 2018 Ford Mustang GT. That means nice leather bucket seats, but with race harnesses added since this truck can really throw you around.
The shifter was donated by a modern F-150, keeping this pickup Ford-friendly.

But the digital gauges don’t come from a newer Ford but instead are Dakotas. While hose are rather nice, the Alcantara headliner is really something else.
The door panels and center console are custom-made, which of course helped balloon the overall expense of this build. But this is the kind of ride you can take to high-end shows and win, so maybe it’s worth the cash?
Speaking of that, this Ford F100 is apparently up for sale. Maybe you could stick it in your garage, if you have that kind of money to drop.
This truck was featured on Autotopia LA recently, so you can see it in action there.
