Called the Chevy C10 Slayer, this six-wheel beast doesn’t just look wild, it performs like a beast. After all, it has loads of power channeling through all four rear drive wheels. The build started as a dream turned into a rendering that caught on through social media, driving the owner to bring it into reality.
Check out a Chevy C10 with a monocoque chassis.
Built by Brad Deberti, the C10 Slayer is famous for good reason. Deberti and his dad started with a real C10 truck, something he now says was a mistake. That’s thanks to it supposedly being free of rust, which we all know how that goes with classics.
To deal with the rust, they had to cut out pretty much everything but the roof and windows. Everything else on the truck is handmade and custom, so this is only a C10 in the loosest sense. It looks cool with the open “bed” and widebody flared fenders, plus the tall wing in the rear.
But the truck doesn’t just look like a racecar, it really throws down. First of all, it can be lowered to within an inch of the ground, keeping the center of gravity down. That’s necessary considering there’s an LSX B15 combing out through the cutout in the hood. Those red velocity stacks and the massive Whipple supercharger look intimidating.
From the factory, the crate engine makes about 900-horsepower. But with the supercharger and everything tuned correctly, plus running E85, the powertrain can whip out about 2,000-2,500-hp. That’s why Deberti can roast all four rear tires with glee.
To help keep the power reigned in, this truck has a full roll cage plus a Hydroshox suspension, allowing the driver to raise and lower the ride height with a push of a button. Plus there are four-piston Wilwood disc brakes.
You need to see this truck in action, it’s so wild, so watch the video review and enjoy.
