It’s no secret Shaq is a big fan of the Tesla Cybertruck, among other large vehicles, so it’s also not a surprise he was onboard for giving away one to an adoring fan. Teaming up with The Dorm Dudes, the former NBA basketball player put his signature on the dashboard before selecting the lucky winner.
Ken Block’s old Hoonitruck is headed to auction.
Of course, the Cybertruck in question didn’t just have the bare stainless steel body panels. It was adorned with a red wrap featuring Shaquille O’Neal’s famous Superman insignia he puts on his cars and wears as a necklace.
Just like Shaq’s three personal Cybertrucks, the one he and The Dorm Dudes gave away was customized by Nevada shop Effortless Motors. The big man isn’t a fan of keeping vehicles entirely stock. However, his Teslas don’t have any performance modifications done, just crazy aesthetics to help them stand out, including making them widebodies.
Shaq owns quite the array of other vehicles. Among this customized EVs is a Lucid Air that’s been converted from a sedan to a coupe. He also own a Ram TRX that’s been customized by Apocalypse, although not everyone is a fan of the look.
Some of the basketball star’s most famous rides are his Dodge Charger Hellcats, which are also customized. They’re also modified to push performance well beyond the factory specs, proving that the man has a need for speed.
Even more interesting, Shaq has a growing collection of exotic supercars, even though the man can’t fit inside them. That might sound crazy since most people buy vehicles they can drive, but the man has had them modified so he can fit his tall frame, showing he likes to think creatively around problems.
