When Shaq buys a car for his personal use, like his latest Cadillac Escalade IQ, he goes big on the customizations. He literally has to go big so he can fit in his cars, oftentimes with bigger seat brackets so he can scoot all the way back. But he went even harder with his third Escalade IQ.
See how Shaq customized his Lucid Air EV.
Customized by Effortless Motors, which has been doing a lot of rides for the big man lately, this one has something no other all-electric Caddie features: 28-inch Forgiato wheels. Finished in gunmetal, they look great with the off-gray exterior.
To make everything fit in the wheel wells, Effortless fit those massive wheels with some barely there low-profile tires, what some people call rubber band tires. Not everyone is a huge fan of the look and some bring up some fair concerns about ride comfort in an SUV, but it’s Shaq’s truck so we figure he can do with it as he pleases.
As we covered before, after Shaq bought his first two Escalade IQs a few months ago, he seemed to have forgotten all about the transaction. Effortless Motors had them for a while as they customized the all-electric luxury SUVs, so when they showed up at Shaq’s house with the first one, the big man genuinely forgot he bought it.
In fact, he tried to argue with them, claiming he had no recollection of the purchase and that he wouldn’t buy such a think because he couldn’t fit inside. However, the retired NBA player tried out the driver’s seat and immediately loved it.
Since then, Shaq has dumped his two custom Cybertrucks, which were also done by Effortless, selling them off while purchasing this third Cadillac. He’s cited driving range as the top reason for the move, although we think aesthetics also played a role.
What do you think of the 28-inch Forgiatos on this Escalade IQ? Would you consider such a thing if you could afford it?
