If you’re looking to have fun blasting around some sand dunes, this Tatum Aero sandcar is a great way to do it. We recently ran across this specific one for sale online and thought readers might be interested in adding it to their collection of outdoor toys.
Or you could go for this four wheeler Harley instead.
You might already be familiar with Tatum’s sandcars, which have been featured on different popular automotive YouTube channels. They’re lightweight, powerful, fast, and a whole lot of fun. Because they’re rare and are essentially racecars, you will pay a pretty penny for one.
This Aero is listed for $195,000, discounted from the original asking price of $225,000. For that, you get a vehicle the owner says has been torn down and overhauled, with only two trips to the dunes since.

That means the Danzio twin-turbo 434ci V8 which makes a claimed 1,700-horsepower on E85 or race gas is ready to rip without trouble. In a heavier road-going car that would rocket you forward with ferocity, but in this thing you better wear your brown pants, just in case.
From the sound of things in the listing, the seller has heavily modified this vehicle, including the engine, turbos, exhaust, shocks, wiring, steering, etc. You’ll have to look through the list of mods in the listing and if you’re serious, get more details from the seller. But this sounds like a serious build for hardcore enthusiasts, if not someone who wants to be competitive in off-road races.
While many can admire this sandcar, it admittedly isn’t for everyone. The price alone will keep quite a few from getting serious, but this isn’t a vehicle for some amateur who drove a Polaris RZR once. However, if you have the cash and experience to handle this beast, it could very well take you on some fun adventures.
