We’ve seen some bizarre road rage incidents before, but we’re pretty sure his case out of Brooklyn, New York is the first involving someone throwing fireworks into another vehicle. But that’s exactly what a federal indictment of Kevindale Nurse accuses him of doing.
Gang of cyclists beat and rob a man in Los Angeles.
According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Nurse was driving a minibus with his four-year-old son in the back when he got into a confrontation with two men in a Verizon utility van. At some point he cut off the van, then drove recklessly before pulling up next to the van at a red light.
That’s when Nurse allegedly lit a firework, opened the minivan’s door, and threw the firework through the open window of the Verizon van. As you can see from the photo, the van interior took a lot of damage.
Unfortunately, both men inside were also hurt, suffering multiple injuries from what looks like a surprisingly violent explosion. We have to wonder just what kind of firework Nurse allegedly threw.
Exactly why Nurse would have engaged in such an act, other than that it was an alleged road rage attack, isn’t clear. In other words, we don’t have any information about what supposedly set the guy off. Admittedly, some people seem to fly into a violent rage at the smallest things, which is scary when you really think about it.
But this isn’t Nurse’s first brush with the law. The Associated Press says he has prior felony convictions which include attempted reckless endangerment and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. In other words, it sounds like the guy has an anger management issue.
