The summer movie season is in full swing, even though it might not entirely feel like it after the strikes last year took a lot of wind out of the industry’s sails. Still, there are a few big films headed to theaters, one of them being Twisters. Ram hopes to capitalize off what will hopefully be a popular popcorn movie by not only featuring its trucks in the flick but also doing a new marketing campaign featuring the stars.
Man almost loses his finger in a Cybertruck door.
In collaboration with Universal Pictures, Warner Bros, and Amblin Entertainment, Ram has launched commercial spots and other marketing featuring actors in Ram trucks, including some scenes from the film.
We’ve included one of the latest, called “Answer Your Calling,” hearkens back to the glory days of action films, which arguably is the 90s, or maybe the 80s, people can debate that one. That spot features star Glen Powell, who’s navigating dangerous storms in his Ram truck, a 2025 Ram 1500 RHO.
Ram says this ad will run not only in North America but pretty much everywhere else globally. Considering the brand has been making inroads with Europeans and Australians lately, we think Stellantis is trying to push the trucks into more markets and what better way to build awareness.
Powell apparently personally owns a Ram truck, so he was excited to collaborate with the brand he already loves.
Ram and Universal Pictures are teaming up with the Red Cross for a unique promotion. Anyone who donates blood from July 1-31 will get a free Fandango movie ticket, so you could see Twisters without paying a red cent. What’s more, you’ll automatically be entered for a chance to win a 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn. All that for doing something charitable.
If you don’t already know, Twisters opens nationwide today, July 19.
