Being a rich movie star comes with plenty of perks, including the ability to drive essentially any production car out there. So it’s come as a surprise to many that Nicole Kidman claims to love driving a Subaru instead of the Lamborghini her husband Keith Urban purchased for her.

The weird revelation came out as part of a Zoom interview Kidman conducted of Victoria Beckham as set up by Vogue Australia. This whole having one celebrity interview another thing seems to be kind of a trend lately and we guess that’s when important details like what car Kidman drives are revealed.
According to Kidman, her husband purchased a Lamborghini Urus for her but she doesn’t really like driving it. Instead, Urban is the one who tools around town in the exotic Italian SUV while she goes more incognito in her Subie.
While we wanted to learn what Subaru model Kidman drives and why she loves it, the conversation quickly turned to clothing and fashion, topics we find utterly boring. So for a brief moment the otherwise regular celebrity interview got a little interesting, then it fizzled back to the same old garbage.
We know people who love the tight handling of their Subie. The flat engine configuration combined with unibody construction and symmetrical all-wheel drive makes for a unique combination, setting the brand apart from other mainstream automakers in today’s marketplace.
It’s probably a safe bet Kidman’s preference has something to do with that. But, the Lamborghini Urus also boasts tight handling as well as loads more power than any Subaru. Perhaps she doesn’t care about powerful rides but instead likes a low-powered boxer engine instead?
Since the two celebrities didn’t seem to think talking about cars was all that interesting, we guess we’ll never know. And yet somehow we’re okay with that.
