Collectors will be vying to get their hands on one or both limited-edition Indian Motorcycle models for 2025 with a production batch of just 350 examples of each. Both the Indian Challenger Elite and Indian Pursuit Elite are powered by the liquid-cooled PowerPlus 112 motor, but the real attraction of these motorcycles are the aesthetic touches.
Learn about the Italian motorcycle made in China.
The Challenger Elite has a design that pays homage to Gene “Alabama Flash” Walker, the man who famously set a land speed record back in 1920 on an Indian PowerPlus. Dressed in a tri-tone of Black Candy, Red Candy, and Crystal White Peal Satin, particles of crushed glass are mixed into the paint to add it shimmer and provide a sense of depth.
With the black Dark Horse trim pieces, the bagger has a motorsports feel.
But what really makes this bike special is an image of Gen Walker’s PowerPlus as well as the individual production number on the center console. Of course, the Indian Motorcycle Headdress logo adorns the sides of the gas tank.
As for the Indian Pursuit Elite, it’s a nod to the 20,000 PowerPlus motorcycles made in 1916 for the United States Army. Appropriately, is has a darker aesthetic with Black Candy and Black Forest Candy paint and hand-painted Championship Gold accents that really pop. It also features Dark Horse trim pieces.
Like the Challenger Elite, the Pursuit Elite has the individual production number on the center console.
Despite both motorcycles being throwbacks to long ago, they’re bristling with modern technologies like Brembo brakes, an adaptive LED headlight, and a premium sound system. We just question how much any of these features will actually be used since at least a majority of these will be parked because they’re too nice to really ride.
