We’ve seen other cases of motorcyclists and even drivers crashing off a road, sometimes a busy highway, and going undiscovered for hours or days. It’s happened again, this time in Waukesha County, Wisconsin with a rider crawling up to the shoulder of Interstate 43, being discovered clinging to life 12 hours after wrecking out.

In this case, the woman who initially saw the motorcyclist believes it was divine intervention. She had gotten mixed up about a medical appointment and was headed to the wrong clinic when she thought she saw a human head on the side of the interstate.
As she stopped so did another driver, the scene caught on traffic camera and shared by WISN. They found the rider had a weak pulse and was delirious, clinging to life. Fortunately, they were able to get medics to the scene quickly and the man is expected to survive.
Authorities say the unnamed victim was just riding his motorcycle when he lost control and veered off the road. The man was able to crawl up to the shoulder eventually and tried signaling cars for help.
The big question we always ask whenever we see stories like this is how people can prevent this from happening to them. One answer we have is by sharing your phone’s location with someone who knows where you’re supposed to be.
If that person realizes you haven’t shown up at home or somewhere else, they can then search for your current location, either going there or calling authorities for help. That’s the best thing we can think of, other than having a GPS tracker on your bike or car that other person can access.
In this case, it’s great the motorists spotted the rider when they did, otherwise who knows what would’ve happened to the guy.
